Celebration Station “Spin to win” activation

Terms and Conditions

1. This spin the wheel prize activation (Activation) is conducted by Liberty Financial Limited (Company Number 657409) (Promoter).

2. The Activation begins on Thursday, 10 April 2025 at 6:30pm (NZST) and closes on Thursday, 10 April 2025 at 9:30pm (NZST) (Activation Period).

3. This Activation is open to individuals who:

a) attend the NZ Mortgage Awards on 10 April 2025;

b) are aged 18 years or older

c) have not breached these Terms and Conditions;

together the “Eligible Entrants”.

How to participate

4. To participate, Eligible Entrants can spin the wheel at our Celebration Station to receive one of the prizes noted on the wheel segment they land on.

5. Multiple entries are not permitted.

Prizes

6. The available prizes comprise of the following:

  • 10x double pass to an A-Leagues match – this will be one of the A-Leagues matches in the 2025 season, at the Promoter’s discretion and dependant on availability. Each double pass is valued at $75

  • 200x lucky dip – a choice of branded merchandise available at the Activation. Each lucky dip prize is valued at approximately $10

  • 2x one ticket to the New Zealand Mortgage Awards 2026. The winners’ name and contact details will be obtained for their BDM to make contact and arrange prize fulfilment. Each ticket is valued at $172.50

  • 50x multi-plug charger – available at the Activation. Each multi-plug charger is valued at $15

  • 10x bubbles - available at the Activation. Each bubbles bottle is valued at $20

  • 4x lunch with Liberty – winners of this prize must only be mortgage advisers. The winners’ name and contact details will be obtained for a BDM to make contact and arrange the lunch. Each lunch is valued at $50.

7. The prize (or any unused portion of the prize) is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. The prize must be taken as offered and may not be varied.

8. The Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize to the equal value and/or specification if the prize is unavailable, or subject to any requests from a regulatory authority.

9. Each winner is responsible for understanding and complying with their taxation obligations in relation to the prize.

10. The Promoter is not responsible for travel or accommodation costs associated with attending the New Zealand Mortgage Awards event, the Liberty Lunch prize or the A-League match. 

11. By entering this Activation, Eligible Entrants agree they will take all reasonable steps requested by the Promoter to enable delivery of the prize, the Liberty Lunch prize or the A-League match. 

Miscellaneous provisions

12. Participation in this Activation is subject to these Terms and Conditions.

13. The Promoter’s decision not to enforce a specific restriction does not constitute a waiver of that restriction or of these Terms and Conditions generally.

14. Each Eligible Entrant acknowledges that the Promoter can rely on these Terms and Conditions even if the Promoter only learns of an Eligible Entrant’s ineligibility to enter after the Promoter has awarded a Prize to the ineligible entrant. Return of a Prize or payment of its equivalent value to the Promoter can be required by the Promoter if this occurs.

15. All Eligible Entrants consent to the Promoter, and the Promoter’s related entities using their information for the following purposes in addition to the conduct of the Activation:

a) Promotion of products and services, including products or services that we distribute; and

b) Conducting research, and planning or developing product and marketing strategies.

16. By accepting the prize, winners consent to the Promoter and its related companies using their name, and image in the event they are the winner (including photograph) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Activation (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.

17. If for any reason this Activation is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including without limitation technical failure, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, or any other matter beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this Activation or the reputation of this Activation or that of the Promoter, the Promoter may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Activation.

18. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and the Eligible Entrants (including their eligibility to enter) and to disqualify any entrant whose entry is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, who interferes improperly in the administration, integrity or conduct of the Activation or who otherwise tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

19. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees provided by law.

20. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of:

a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoters control);

b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;

c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;

d) any tax liability incurred by a winning entrant; or

e) acceptance or use of a prize.

21. This Activation is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with LinkedIn.

22. The laws of New Zealand apply to this Activation to the exclusion of any other law. All Eligible Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

23. The Promoter’s decisions in relation to this Activation are final and the Promoter reserve the right to not respond to any communication disputing or disparaging their decisions.

Privacy

24. When an Eligible Entrant enters this Activation, the Promoter may collect the personal information the Eligible Entrant provides. If the Eligible Entrant wins a prize from the Activation, the Promoter may collect further information about them.

25. The Promoter may use the information provided by the Eligible Entrant to administer the Activation, fulfil the prize and to promote their products and services and those of their partners.

26. Without some or all of this information, the Eligible Entrant may not be able to participate in the Activation or receive the prize.

27. The Promoter may disclose the entrant’s personal information to:

a) Entities who assist the Promoter in administering the Activation and fulfilling the prize, and other prize suppliers and deliverers;

b) Marketing, research, and communications agencies;

c) Its related companies, who will use and disclose it for similar purposes as the Promoter’s

d) The authorities responsible for the regulation of gaming and lotteries and other government agencies, where applicable; and

e) Other parties where required by law.

28. The Promoter may disclose the personal information it collects in the course of this Activation to its service providers who may store the information, or to the Promoter’s related entities to perform operational or administrative services on the Promoter’s behalf.

29. The Promoter and its related companies will manage the Eligible Entrant’s information in accordance with the Liberty Privacy Policy. This policy explains how to request access to and correct or update information the Promoter holds about the Eligible Entrant, how to raise a complaint about privacy and how the Promoter will deal with a complaint.
